The organizing committee of 2013 ECA Canoe marathon European Championship promoted today a press conference to present this event to media.

All organizers involved in this event were present, including the Portuguese Canoe Federation, Municipally of Vila Verde and also Nautical Club of Prado, represented by their presidents.
The room was small for all Canoeing entusiastics, sponsors and friends of the sport this morning at the Nautical Club.

Mário Santos, Vice-President of European Canoe Association and President of the Portuguese Canoe federation welcome everyone to the first ever Canoe Marathon European Championship organized in Portugal. More than 25 countries and 400 athletes are expected to compete in Cavado River, between 6 and 9 of June.

Several local and National media attended this ceremony, where José Ramalho, K1 European Champion and Silver Medalist in World Championship 2012 in Canoe Marathon told he is very anxious to compete in his home country, where he will be fighting for the revalidation of his European Title of 2011.
