The Organizing Committee of the 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships has released the official timetable and provisional start list for next week’s event in Ponte de Lima.

From June 5 to 8, Europe’s finest canoe marathon paddlers will gather in Ponte de Lima to compete for the 2025 European titles across both short and long-distance events.

With nearly 400 entries across 37 races and participation from almost 30 nations, the event promises high-level competition on the scenic Lima River—a place where canoeing is not only the leading sport but also the birthplace of some of the discipline’s greatest champions.

Adding to the excitement, paracanoe demonstration races will also take place, highlighting the inclusive spirit of canoe marathon and its growing accessibility.
