First action day in Prado, vila Verde, with the heats of short race happening this afternoon between 4 and 8pm. 

A new experience in Canoe Marathon and a lot of success with very strong and competitive races, special in K1 men, with José Ramalho(POR) and Adrian Boros(HUN) winning each heat, but with the Portuguese being the fastest man in this 3,5km circuit with the time of 14:09.50.

Tomorrow, Saturday from 9:30 the best 10 paddlers from the short race heats will compete in one Final, to decide the winners of this event.

As today, the full event will have livestream available, starting 15 minutes before the race shedule.

As noticed, the start system, prepared for the event was not used today and will not be used in the following days, due to a severe demage in the preparations, before the start of races, and wih the strong water flow, felt today in Cavado River.

The plane B was activaded and the starts were given using the classic pantoon option.
